Congratulations to the boys soccer team who beat Pineville at home 3-nil with goals scored by Kareem El-Giar and Bee-bop O'Toole.  The boys will be back in action tomorrow night versus West Ouachita. We want everyone to come out and support our senior boys as we will recognize them for all of their accomplisments over the past four years.  Game starts at 5:30, senior recognition will begin at 5:15. 

The Lady Rebel Soccer Team traveled to Pineville last night and left with a 4-nil victory.  Goals were scored by Alia Sanchez, Charlotte Switzer, Jentri Richardson, and Xan Nix.  Girls travel to Haughton tomorrow. 

Boys basketball beat Neville 60-52. Boys and Girls basketball will be back in action on Friday Night at Ouachita. 

This is just a reminder that the English Latino Leadership Society will have a meeting TODAY directly following school in the library.  You will be making signs for our upcoming fundraiser and recording books for next month. 

Lady Rebel Softball tryouts will be held Friday, January 20 at 4 pm at the softball field. You must sign up with Coach Daigle in room 3207 or Coach Pate in room 1219 if you would like to tryout. Players should bring their own glove, bat, and helmet to tryouts.

Juniors, 
National Honor Society applications are open! In order to access the application, you must join the NHS Induction of 2023 Google Classroom. All parts of the application must be turned in through Google Classroom by noon Friday, January 20th. No late applications will be accepted. Make sure to attach your transcript after the update that will occur on Wednesday.

If you are interested in working back stage for the production of Mary Poppins, stop by the choir room and pick up an application and return it to Mrs. Freeman no later than Friday January 20th. The job of crew member requires commitment and dedication. We are in need of an additional 5-10 very dependable students to help us with this large production. Thank you!

The English Latino Leadership Society will be having a fundraiser on January 26 & 27th.  They will be selling Alex's Latin Food coffee and hot chocolate during both lunch shifts for $2.

Attention all seniors:
You will take cap and gown pictures this month through your senior English class. The Graduate Shop will provide caps and gowns for this day, and there is no fee to take this picture. This is the picture that will appear on the big screen at graduation. Purchasing pictures is optional. Check with your senior English teacher for your picture day.

The Kiroli Parents and Loyal Supporters (KPALS) Scholarship is now available on our Guidance page at gorebs.org and in the Guidance Office. There will be two student awards: $1,000 and $500. Applications are due by March 17, 2023, so get your application today. 

The Howard and Eloise Mulder Full-Ride LSU-A Scholarship is now available on our Guidance page at gorebs.org and in the Guidance Office. This is a Full-Ride Scholarship to LSU-A for 4 years! The deadline to apply for this scholarship is February 1st , so get your application today. 

Please mark your calendars for the upcoming FAFSA Completion Event that will be on Thursday, January 26th from 5:00 - 7:00 PM in the WMHS Library. College Financial Aid Reps will be available to help you and your parents to complete your FAFSA Applications. This will be the last FAFSA Night Event for the school year!!

All members of the Rebel Fishing Team, Golf Team, and Swim Team please meet Mrs. Pierce in room 3203 now. Students will return to class shortly.
